Canada Goose is ready for winter with a three-way collaboration with BAPE and Concepts, delivering a series of outerwear that are not enough military camouflage.
Successful branding, in my opinion, is not just recognizable; but a name being synonymous with quality and performance or knowing what attributes it will offer. This is especially true for A Bathing Ape, a brand we know for their bold, playful and energetic takes on streetwear – a brand that refuses to be understated or approach ‘silent’.
When you call on the BAPE for a collaboration, you commit to a stylistic remix that ignores caution. It’s not about sleek elegance or subtle updates; it’s about going the extra mile to create something that is, to say the least, memorable.
This tripartite collaboration between Canada Goose, the BAPE and Concepts responds to this. You take a look and you can forget about it.
Much like Barbour’s drop earlier in the year, BAPE’s reimagining of Canada Goose’s outerwear becomes heavy camo.
Front and center is the Chilliwack Bomber, which features the iconic camouflage from top to bottom in its original green color. The Chilliwack extrovert’s introvert is the Expedition Parka, which uses muted duck camouflage as an accent on the lapel and hood.
The collection is completed with the Crofton hoodie with shark hood, a knit cap and an allover printed down muffler.
The Canada Goose x BAPE x Concepts collection will be available at the store in line at Canada Goose starting December 4, followed by a down blanket on December 18.
