Luxury brand Canada Goose brought Canadian warmth to Edinburgh by opening its very first store in Scotland.

The lifestyle brand currently operates 30 stores across continents, and their latest expansion is located on Edinburgh’s iconic Multrees Walk.

Described as providing “innovative and luxurious outerwear,” the brand specializes in clothing to keep you warm when the cold weather hits and, if there’s one thing Canada and Scotland have in common? , it’s cold.

Canada Goose opens its very first Scottish store in the city’s focal point for luxury shopping.

The opening of the new store follows the capital’s expansion in luxury shopping, following the opening of the new St James district on June 24, 2021.

The two-story floor space opened on November 26 and features 300 seasonal items that combine the brand’s decades of experience with Scottish craftsmanship.

Shoppers will be able to browse a range of the brand’s iconic pieces to keep you warm this season, including the Chilliwalk Bomber Jacket and the Mystique Parka that was used by the actors between sets.

Other ranges offer buyers a selection of sweatshirts, jumpers, knitwear and fleeces to protect you from the elements.

Once brands have embarked on the luxury lifestyle, shoppers will be able to browse a selection of different products.

The new store also offers a unique shopping experience, as works of art presented by the HUMANNATURE Art Collection brands will be on display to be admired.

With over 257 works of art on display in its 30 stores, it is the largest retail Inuit art collection in the world.

News of the store’s opening comes after the brand proved to be quite controversial, following their stance to continue using real fur in their collections.

Following the backlash they received, the brand recently announced that 2021 will officially end the use of all furs in all of their stores, including the Edinburgh store.

Pat Sherlock, President EMEA of Canada Goose said, “We are proud to open our first Canada Goose store in Edinburgh, a vibrant city surrounded by green spaces ideal for exploring. In this new space, guests will learn what our promise to inspire and enable everyone to thrive in the outside world really means.

“We look forward to connecting with the local community, telling our brand story firsthand and providing an unfiltered and premium experience for Scotland’s urban adventurers.”
