On April 21, Canada Goose releases its 2021 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report. This report highlights the company’s progress towards its sustainable impact strategy. The strategy describes the ways in which the company wants to become more environmentally friendly and reduce its impact on the planet.

The sustainable impact strategy separates the company’s goals into two categories: materials and manufacturing and operations. For the material category, Canada Goose has already achieved Responsible Down Standard certification and has stopped buying fur. The company has nearly completed its bluesign certification, moved to 60% sustainable packaging solutions and is committed to reducing the use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. For the manufacturing and operations category, Canada Goose is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2025 or earlier, and has achieved carbon neutrality for corporate operations.

While the steps towards sustainability that Canada Goose has made so far are impressive, the 2021 ESG Report shows that they won’t stop anytime soon. The report shows that the brand has fulfilled its commitments to become more sustainable and continues to work on issues around materials, chemicals, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, supply chain and human rights. man and work.

To celebrate their progress, Canada Goose is launching a new fleece collection that follows its new sustainable principles. The Kind Fleece is the new product at your fingertips. It is a soft and breathable fleece made from recycled wool. The fleece includes wood-based Tencel Lyocell and biodegradable fibers made from wood. A bio-based Sorona polymer made from the sugar derived from corn is the final component. The Kind Fleece is available in four new styles: the Chilliwack Bomber, the Severn ½ Zip Sweater, the Lawson Fleece Jacket and the Mersey Fleece Vest. The collection aims to embody comfort and versatility, while reinventing fleece in an eco-friendly way.

The publication of the 2021 ESG report and Kind Fleece is based on the brand’s HUMANATURE platform. The platform unites sustainability with brand values. The full report is available on the Canada Goose website, along with the new Kind Fleece collection. The collection is also available at Canada Goose stores.
